Damn hide-boxes

Amp Nov 18, 2010 11:00 PM

This female only comes out of her hide box to eat, and only when I'm not in the room. So I left the hide boxes in when I introduced the male. It's so hard to observe them when they're in the hides. I was lucky enough to snap this picture tonight as they both had their tails out of the entrance to the hide box. It looks promising, wish me luck. By the way this is Aladdin (08' albino arabesque) & Kari (05' Surinam, with a beautiful red tail and nice peaks on her saddles). I'd try to get a picture of her out of her hide, but she'll bite the hell out of me, lol.

Oddly enough all of my other pairs who don't have hide boxes aren't doing any courting at all. Unless you count sitting in the same space as courting. Do you think they need some privacy?

I cover the front of my breeding cages with newspaper to make it dark and offer more privacy. -- Good luck with them
