This cartoon still hangs on my wall after many, many years! It's been lost a couple times and survived a few hurricanes, as you can see it's a bit stained but It's my favorite. I zeroxed it from an old Vivarium magazine. If I ever get the time to sit and flip thru all the old mags I have I may zerox a fresh copy. I thought you guys would get a laugh.

That is funny. And probable true to a lot of you guys. I can't relate, Yet. I have just one snake. I got started late in life, I guess. My son is a senior this year and he will be going off to college next summer. I did not want to get the empty nest syndrome, so I was planning to turn his room into my REC. ROOM. But instead of a rec. room it's going to be my REP. ROOM. My wife don't know this yet cause if you say it really fast it sounds sort-of-tha same. wish me luck

Dude, I hope your wife isn't like mine! If she is, then I'll go ahead and and start cleaning the garage so you'll have a place to stay once she fully understands your plan.

KingDome Nov 19, 2010 02:19 PM

LOL, I'm laughing now, but I hope I don't have to take you up on that. She has said she always wanted "A" snake. And she seem to be up for getting another one. It's when we start having babies that we might have a problem.
If it comes down to a give, give situation. I might have to give in to her wants. She has always wanted a pet skunk. Go figure

My wife has Chihuahuas, but I let her think some of the snakes are hers too! That seems to work.

Now that's funny! It's never too late to start. I just started over again about three years ago, and my daughter is married and about to have a baby. My son is 12 and lives home. He is a techno geek, and isn't interested in snakes.

Thanks Doug.. My wife sent the artist pictures of my kids (wearing those clothes), pictures of my animals & eggs hatching (mostly alterna at that time), and this picture of part of my herp room and she told her exactly what she wanted and that is what the artist came up with.. I really love it!

I am not really sure who she was, but if you would like i can ask my wife for her contact info for you... She just had another drawing made for one of her friends who was getting married and it also came out great..

Wow, that is a serious herp room. Very nice. Very neat looking. I like the shelving, makes it look very professional.

tempest777 Nov 19, 2010 01:59 PM

I agree, that is a fantastic set up! That is just what I had in mind moving forward with my snakes. Any chance you could post a brief catalog if you have the time?

HaHaHa!!!Love how he is trying to get tyrannosaurus Rex or whoever through the door while his old lady just looks digusted!

I did some calculations and figured that the average price per pound for baby pyros is $2264 per pound more or less. My partner is relieved I cannot fit these snakes up my nose; you know what I mean...what an addiction!
