By the way, do you have pics of that little guys parents? Know their background? Is this the pairings first clutch? Oh yeah, incubation temps and duration? Tris are so different from the other hogs...just curious to see how it compares.

I have had them hatch anywhere from day 78 to day 104 at the same incubation temp.

He posted a few photos of some smoking hogs... Leave it alone...

Because I have an interest in the animals. There are not very many lines of L pulcher floating around, and not a whole lot of breeders really working with them. Is his line from the Mark Bell animals, or some of the fresh imported lines of Lystrophis. So far, the genetics on patterns have not really proved out, which is why I wanted to know how many generations. I hope the thing is a true new morph, but over the last few years I have seen a number of similar post and all colored up, even my own hopeful animals. ....why are you pissing on every post I make? So what, you don't like me, and now I can't even ask questions of other breeders? What are you, the self proclaimed hoggie police now?

Hello Guys

I understand your discussion, of course we have to wait and see how the animal looks in 6 months. I know this.

Here in Europe I am a well-known Hognose Breeder an not a amateur, so when I see a animal which looks different I think I can recognice what it is or what it could be!
I breed every year about 200-300 Lystrophis. I have different Lines. From Sweden, Russia, Usa and WC animals from Guyana which I importet by my self!

I never had an animal like this!

The incubation time with my animals is always exact 88-95 days on Temperature 28°C.
The Parents of this one are 1,0 CB from Alex Hue and 0,1 WC from Guayna. The clutch was 11 eggs and only one animal like this!

Here is a picture of the PArents!

I only want to share some pics and do not make someone angry!!!

LOL, your AHR baby might be one of mine. Alex wholesaled a lot of Tricolors from me. Wouldn't that be something.

Tom penson produced several axanthic tricolor hognose snakes afew years back. I'm not sure if he is still working the project or even breeding hogs for that matter I haven't talked to Tom in a few years. Just wanted to let it be known.
Congrats filip that is a stunning tricolor!!

thats tom pinson.....sarasota, fla.....great guy..

brhaco Nov 20, 2010 10:17 AM

That's fantastic, Filip! I've produced literally hundreds of pulcher-including dozens of bicolors-over the years, and never had one come out like that! I think you're probably right about it.

That's definitely Axantic or Anery.

It's definitely something! I'll agree that it currently looks Anerythristic, but whether or not that color holds out as it ages or if it even proves out as a heritable genetic, only time will tell.

It's still a good looking Tri though. I hope it proves out to be more than just conjecture.
