Why do we have forums for mountain, mexicana, and gray banded king snakes when everyone seems to be over here? Did I miss something?
Those forums seem to be dieing a slow death which is a shame.

To hazard a guess as to why everyone seems to congregate here more than in the sub forums, I think it is because most of us keep more than one kind of king, and will get a larger audience for our posts.

It was a great idea at the time......At least I thought it was.

The Mexicana forum used to get MORE posts than this main forum, but those days are all over......Too many folks getting chastised for multiple reasons.....

Never even close. There was a broken counter on the main forum page that would indicate such, and I suppose that's where you were getting that idea, but that sub forum got 1/10 of the traffic of this forum on it's best day. Notice that counter is long gone.

Yeah....That's were I was getting the idea......

I wondered why it said the Mexicana forum was the most "popular" at times and when I went there it seemed like there weren't that many posts......

It DEFINITELY has slowed down to a crawl over there the last couple years.....Nothing like it's inception.......

postings may or may not be down, but page views are probably at an all time high. In that scenario you'd have declining demands on server storage space and increasing revenue from banner ads. Win win for the web site, bummer for those that live on the forums.

I know that some of my cal king post on here were moved over to the cal king sub forum.

I personally don't think they are needed......and obviously a lot of people think the same, hence the crickets chirping over there.

Those had to have been moved a long time ago, because I know they havent been moved recently.

Last year we reduced a number of the subforums.

Let's see there are 15 posts on the cal king sub forum for the WHOLE YEAR of 2010, and so far there are more than that here about cal kings just for the month of November.

See. Why?
