I'm in my second week of cooling with the males in the same cages as the females. I have noticed several of my males aggressively courting the females, and a few that are not. I tried pulling one of the males (male A) from a females cage (female A) and introduced him into another cage with an inactive (courting) pair. The male that was already in the cage (male B) took immediate notice of the new male (male A). I had to pull male A after about 30 mins and return him to his original cage (with female A), because I had to leave and didn't want to risk anything bad happening while I wasn't around to observe. The following morning I finally noticed male B started to court female B. However, it was just for that morning, and the courting has now appeared to have stopped altogether. In addition, male A still hasn't started courting female A in his cage either.

Is it still to early in the season for these males to be courting, considering I have other males courting? Is it possible that the females aren't ready yet (they are both 3.5 years old, and over 12 lbs)? Should I be more patient? Should I continue to try and use male A as a competitor with male B or will swapping the animals increase stress for the boas and lessen my odds of getting one of the girls (or both) pregnant?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
