weird day.....wild snake

JYohe Nov 23, 2010 06:39 PM

on the way home from work , my neighbor across the street started talking.....he asked me to maybe identify a dead snake in his back yard .....after seeing it...it was like he said "not from around here".....a ball python...maybe 5 months old?.....
dead, rotting, and a SPIDER at that.....
hmmmmmmmm.....(no, it wasn't one of mine).....

....red fox in my yard and a spider ball across the street....

.......odd day...........

Such a shame...

You might be a ball python fanatic if you subconsciously convert the price of virtually everything in to units of piebald ball pythons

Dang. A live spider would have been better.

Jeff,
That must have been very weird to see but a relief to know it wasn't one of yours. Still a sad loss either way.

I'm just wondering if it was already dead in someone's trash, and may be a wild animal pulled it out. May be the fox, a raccoon, skunk, or even a feral cat. I have a hard time imagining a ball python would wander out into a yard instead of some crevice somewhere.

I don't even know, (never looked into it), what the legal thing is to do with dead animals.

I've thrown out uneaten f/t rats in my trash. I have to keep the trash can lids on. Raccoons are smart.

the guys' yard is overgrown

he has a cat

the ball was rotten till he found it....half rotten...still see the pattern....

my trash is 2 of the large toters.....commercial....3 times the normal house's cost.....$$$$

.....it could have wandered there and died back when it was warmer?....never know...there were balls, rock pythons, burmese, cornsnakes and kings all caught wild in this little town......I have to ask a few people that I know had spiders............
