A few things on my mind...

ooanwfndglryoo Sep 26, 2003 04:57 PM

First of all, I would like by saying hi!! I've decided that there is no possible way my beardie is 3 months old for the simple reason that she looks entirely too juvinille. She is about eight-and-a-quarter inches in length now and is doing great! However, I am starting to get slightly conserned with the way she has been acting lately. It seems as if she does not want me to pick her up and whenever I try to do so right as I get my hand around her she runs roughly 3 steps forward and looks at me. Whenever I do get her out of her cage she seems to like to jump off of me and run a few steps and looks at me again. I am pretty confused to what her problem is. Anyway I just wanted to share alittle.

thats pretty typical of theyoung ones. all you can do is just keep trying, be gentle, and try to avoid approaching from overhead.

Very normal for them to go through stages just like a baby growing up would. I know some of mine as babies were very easy to handle, then all of a sudden around the juvinile stage just like yours around 8-10 inches they start to run away a bit, or change. As fast as it comes it goes and they are again very relaxed with being handled.
