I've been a verified shipper with Delta for over 5 years, I can't remember exactly when I signed up. I haven't shipped with Delta in many months and I recently moved. Not sure if either of those things are related but I was wondering if I'm the only one who got this. I got a form letter today stating the following:
November 10, 2010
Greetings,
Delta Cargo would like to thank you for shipping with us throughout the years. We have reviewed your shipping records, and are unable to assist you with your shipping needs at this time. The Transportation Security Authority (TSA) now requires that all air cargo carriers use their KSMS program as the primary method of making a shipper known. Your information was submitted and their system concluded that your company is not currently known in their database. The TSA continues to perform known shipper validations through their website; however site visit validations are no longer an option for making companies known.
The KSMS database may have made this conclusion based on incorrect company information in their database. This might have been caused by an error in your company name or address on your Known Shipper record with us. If this is the case, you can resubmit a new Known Shipper request form, which can be found at www.deltacargo.com.
There are still opportunities to move your freight on Delta Cargo by shipping with a Freight Forwarder. Freight Forwarders can be located through a web search or in your local air cargo directories.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and wish you the best of luck with your shipping needs.
Best regards,
Delta Cargo
