Mixing skinks?

Resently at a local pet store I noticed that they had mixed red eyed armored skinks (Tribolonotus gracilis) in with Ture Fire skinks. And before I tried i wanted to see what other people say, becasue I have a Ture Fire Skink and i'v been wanting a red eye, for some time. If mixing is a bad thing, like with alot of herps, then i'm willing to get another tank. I always thought red eyes like water alot more?
