Tanya's 10 babies (born November 26) are growing fast. Zappa the pyro checking them out. I took this photo by the east window for good light, then when editing it saw the snake!

Yeah! So I guess the comment about them not being good mothers, or not producing milk is a myth? My more normal colored rats are booming since I built this rack for them. I know yours are pets, but looks like you will soon have too many also, lol.

No escaping from that rattery.

I'm getting ready to build a rack setup for my wife, she breeds my rats/mice for me. I let her think they are pets. heheh

Are those standard bus trays you're using?

I was going to use sweater tubs but don't care for them as they have the ledges molded into the sides and I can just see the rats gnawing their way out. I like your tubs as they have completely smooth sides.

and what type of nozzles are you using for your watering system? Do you like them?

Any tips you would care to share about building a rack?

There are several different strains of this hairless rat, and some are not so productive with the lactation, and others, like my Tanya, are. I got mine from sources that have good lactaters.

Toay's pic; getting bigger, pretty soon will not all fit in one hand. Corazon the pyro was very interested!
