jeanne Sep 26, 2003 06:33 PM

Wow, they sure do grow fast! Here is a few pictures that I took tonight of my baby albino fat tail that I hatched out 12 days ago. He is eating like a pig and doing great.

Thanks for looking

Melon? Oh man I'll give you an honest response when I pick myself off the floor.

Gorgeous AFT, regardless of what you call it.

How come albino leos have gray eyes?? They are t albinos. Which I think means they still produce every pigment besides black. Unlike T- albinos who only produce the yellow pigment(white wouldnt be a pigment, i think it is just a lack of color). Just like albino ball pythons. You dont know if that fat-tail has black eyes either, they are probably grey.

And that is a amelanistic fattail gecko. The prefix A meaning without melanin.

griffindor Sep 27, 2003 09:57 PM

I understand the prefix A. I just never have seen the word spelled out.I think I understand the meaning a little better then you guys though. that leo is not without MELANIN.

I am pretty sure it is an amel if she says it is. Since she has posted pics of her adult amels and hets before then I am also pretty sure she knows what she is talking about. Amel fat-tails change very much as they grow, and hate to dissapoint you but not all of them are the bright orange that you might have seen in pics...

What have you produced that makes you such an authority on the subject?

Not trying to start an uproar on the forum, but since you seam to think that you know so much on the subject lets see what you have produced that you consider to be an amelanistic.

Also, the parents of my baby amel. are from top name breeders such as Urban gecko, Golden Gecko and Materpiece Gecko, and they have the same color eyes as my baby, so are you saying that they are liars too?

P.S. Thanks Steve for your help!

Hey griffinDORK,

What makes you so qualified to make the statement that you think you understand the meaning of anything better than anyone else?
Let's see your credentials. What have you produced?
Jealousy will get you no where.
I understand that everyone has an opinion, but why don't you walk the walk before you come trolling around talking sh!t about other peoples successes.

Bobby
