KARK (Little Rock, Arkansas) 23 November 10 Copperhead Snake Bites Cyclist's Tire
A Little Rock man was riding his mountain bike on the Two Rivers Trail on Sunday when he says he saw a copperhead snake crawling along the pavement.
Joey Moll says its colors blended very well with the color of the sidewalk and he was scared that people wouldn't see it as they walked, jogged or biked by.
In an attempt to drag or push it off the path, the snake bit his bike tire. (In the photo below, you can see white stuff coming from its mouth. Joey assumes it's venom combined with the air from his tire.)
Joey says as he was trying to get it off the pavement, the snake then bit his shoe. But, thankfully, did not reach his skin.
He is getting the tire fixed this week.
