I need help being patient...and some stay positive vibes...m

Ok, like most of you know, I finally found some CBB lateralis babies available, and I went ahead and sent the money last week because they had one left, but they were hesitant to give me more of a 50/50 probability that it was a female. After I paid, the person said that he just saw that they had more that were due to arrive Wed. or Thurs. at the latest...and hopefully, they would be a bit older so it would be more likely that I would get a female. I thought that was very nice and honest because they could have just sent me that last one, with me not knowing that they were getting more.

Soooo...Wed and Thurs come and go...I've been checking in like I said I was going to do to get an update. Basically, all I want to know is that they are there and how old they are...and is it likely that they will be able to get me a female. They've been great returning e-mails until now...I had to call to get an answer, and last they said is that hopefully they'll be there by Friday (today). So, I e-mail them yesterday and say, "please let me know when they arrive and their age" just to let them know I'm still waiting to hear from them. I don't want them to forget, since it's been so long, that I want a female. I haven't heard back.

It is to be shipped out monday, but they are not being great at communicating...they have my money, so do they care about doing everything they can to ensure I get a female??? This seller had positive feedback on the board of inquiry...so, I probably shouldn't worry...but I am. I guess, I'm really just venting...it's funny how once they money is in the seller's hands, that the customer service goes down the tubes.

The way it's been going, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't hear from them and a chameleon ends up on my doorstep...dead if it has to ride in a Fed Ex or UPS truck (I'm in FL). They haven't asked about temps or anything, so I guess they assume it will be ok even shipping to FL. I'd like them to hold for pick up so it doesn't have to ride around in the truck all day (we are rural, and we get deliveries at the end of the day)...but I haven't been given that option. I'd at least like a confirmation of "we'll call or e-mail you when they arrive" BEFORE it is shipped.

I know I'm being a pest e-mailing them and calling them, but if they'd reply, I wouldn't have to be.

Sorry so long winded...I feel like screaming.

There's nothing wrong with calling and emailing them. They may need a reminder that you are waiting on a chameleon you paid for.
They may be busy, and answering alot of emails leaves less time for for the animals or responding to numerous emails. It is important however to reply within a resonable amount of time though.
Once you do recieve him/her just use this transaction as a gauge on wether to do business with them in the future or to recommend them to anyone else..
Hope you get what you wanted

I called...left a message and asked them to please call me before shipping. I REALLY do not want them sending her without being held for pickup...it's not likley that she will fare well in this FL heat driving around in the truck all day.

I don't even know if the breeder ever dropped them off...or if they have them at all. I just think it would be nice if they kept me updated like they said they would. I know they are busy, but that's what adds to my worry.

Thanks again for your encouragement.

...you said the inquiry board (btw, where is that??) gave them good reviews. Did you post here to see if anyone has direct experience? Are you sure they are CBB? If the person selling them is "getting them" from somewhere else...

Sorry, don't mean to freak you out and maybe I missed another post on this thread. I would call them once a day until they respond. I can't imagine they would just ship without making "final" arrangements with you. What state are they shipping from?

The board is called the "original board of inquiry" and it's on [bleep].com (hope that doesn't bleep out)

You can go there and try to check out people, businesses, etc. I saw some positive things about these people. I did post here, and Rob replied telling me about that board mentioned above. Well, I asked them about being CBB, and they assure me that they are...said they have a local breeder that they get them from. The breeder drops them off so they don't have to be shipped twice before they reach their new home.

I don't remember what state they're in...I know on the East coast, but I forgot where they were...somewhere up North.

Ugh...I'm so frustrated...
