Cleaning solutions?

BoaGal Dec 04, 2010 01:13 PM

Just wondering what everyone uses to clean/disinfect their cages. I have been using Wipe Out terrarium cleaner from the pet store, but wondered what everyone else uses. I like that I don't have to rinse it off after cleaning, but it's a little expensive.

My wife belongs to Melaleuca, so I use a product of theirs called, "Tough n Tender". It's non toxic, tea-tree oil based and cheap. I love it.

Just a note. Tea Tree oil is toxic to many living things. Cats, birds...I would worry with my herps.

I also use diluted chlorahexidine which is called novasan or virosan. Works great and no rinsing. Bill
