I so wish I had a camera

Felissa Sep 26, 2003 08:20 PM

I had to share this, even though you can't see it. But I oh so wish you could. My 2.5 month old opal aztec is buried in my hair, coiled on top of my head, and peeping out over my forehead like a very shy egyptian headdress. I am going to implode from the cuteness.

Which leads me to the question: WHY in the world do snakes love my glasses?? And is it just my glasses? Every single snake I've ever held goes _straight_ for the glasses, getting completely irreversably tangled in mere seconds so that I can't do anything (I'm afraid taking off my glasses will lead to pinching). Do they do that to anybody else? I can't for the life of me figure out what the fascination with my glasses is. My s.o.'s bp does the same thing, and he's obviously much bigger than my baby.

She went from my glasses, to my hair (which is long, and down at the moment), climbed up the top of my head and decided it'd be a good place to take a nap. And she's been there for the past twenty minutes. She's really light, I can't feel her weight so much as I can feel a coolness on my scalp. But it's just too cute. I seriously need to invest in a decent camera.

She was phenominally cute yesterday too. She curled up and fell asleep on my stomach while I was reading. She's such a spaz when she's awake, but I guess it's a good sign that she considers me just fine to sleep on.

My little corn does the same thing. I don't wear glasses, but when I have my sunglasses hanging from my pocket or shirt collar, he goes straight for them! I think it's because they're just looking for something to wrap themselves around so as to feel more secure. I had a yearling once tie itself in a knot around my belt and beltloops. I was so afraid to take off the belt because I didn't want to squish her...ended up having to wait half an hour for her to decide to let go. Aren't they fun!!

P.S. Wish mine would sleep on MY tummy...I can't get him to hold still for the life of me
