Hey, does anyone else keep a snake in an aquarium, and if you do do they like stare into the heat light for like 20-30 minutes at a time?? i just find it kind of funny and wonder what shes thinking about... nothing is wrong with her, she eats, sheds, and all of that. i just think its amusing watching her look into the light for a while....

I have a pied female that is particularly picky about her temps and hides, so I keep her in her own tank with an under tank heater and a ceramic heater dome on top. Every now and then she will climb up on her driftwood and stretch her neck over to look at the ceramic bulb with kind a "Huh, would you look at that." expression (as much as they can have expressions).

I am fostering a Ball that would let us know when she was hungry by striking at the ceramic heater. We'd be watching TV, then you could hear a *thunk* as she struck the screen. Needless to say, after her quarantine period I put her in the rack system. Though her feeding response is so strong, I tend to pull open the tub and back away at the same time, lest she nip my knees.
