I don't really know the specifics of holbrooki longevity, but I do know that I have a Lampropeltis ruthveni of Shannon Brown's that is 30 years old or so.....It was found in the wild in 1983 as an adult.....

I think if taken care of corretly any Lampropeltis can live for 20 years plus......

I agree,....like any living thing, of course ailments can pop up out of the blue at any given time for all sorts of reasons. But if none of that comes into play, there is no reason that if maintained well that any Lampropeltis cannot live a good 20 plus years with no problem at all.

Most of the Lampropeltis (and rosyboas) that have lived in captivity for over 20yrs were wild-caught as adults or subadults.

For some reason, CB snakes do not seem to make it as long. Well, there may be some that have, but the few breeders I know that have 20-plus yr old in captivity W/C snakes have not seen any of their CB snakes match that.
