It's been slow around here of late.

Thought I'd post in a couple of photos of some Pueblans from Coles collection. Really sweet milks. Feel free to show off a couple of your own Pueblans if you like.

-Dell

Big solid ♀ w/ a bit of tipping in her white bands, but a beautiful milk in her own right.

An outstanding ♂.

Oh you are funny Rusty, very funny.

I'm surprised a guy from Florida could see Old man winter in the photo. Admit it, you thought it was Cotton candy at first.

Love he sockhead male. They look pretty big too!

terryd Dec 09, 2010 05:28 PM

They are big Joe, and I've gotta say looking too. Makes me wonder if I should be working w/ a group of campbelli.

I meant to say impressive in my post above.

I'm suffering from what you have Joe. The mental disease of not previewing my post before I actually post it.

joecop Dec 09, 2010 07:51 PM

HAHAHA. Yeah, I have that disease REAL bad. I wish this forum had spell check.LOL (really though)

Wish I woulda caught this thread earlier......oh well.....campbelli will stand te test of time, especially the pure ones sans any influence of hobby hondos and the like. Incredible snakes.....deliberate, prolific, perfect size, great feeders, etc....

My stock originates from Dave Blody's imports circa 1985/6 that filtered into the Fort Worth Zoo. First generation babies went to Don Wilson (7 Gen. Reptiles), and I cherry-picked babies from both Don and Dave himself. In a lengthy conversation I had with Dave back in 2009, he expressed some level of discontentment in the crossing of many snakes as a means to a financial end and having lost the "integrity" of "keeping things as they were with the exception of refinement via captive breeding efforts". Love Dave, and he's been enjoying his retirement from the zoo since 2006. Here's a couple of photos of what I had in the mid 90's as well as a couple pics of these Zapotitlan Basin beauties that I bred again after a few years hiatus. Looking forward to another clutch or two in 2011 before I retire this old pair.

Circa 1996 -- some wicked sockheads from that time

'97 clutch

My remaining female who is about 15 years old at this point

After about seven years of "rest" (long story behind that word...), my original pair gave a small clutch that yielded several nice babies in 2009 (and again in 2010)....
