bowhunter1963 Dec 09, 2010 07:08 PM

Here are some pics of my breeding pairs of kings. The female double het is a future breeder.I kept two of the females and one male for my hold backs. The other two would not cooperate for the camera.Hope you like them.

They are all nice, but the Mexican black kings really stand out! I am yearning for a pair of indigos, but these mbks might help satisfy that desire for a shiny ebony snake.

I'm in the same boat, lol. I am looking at getting some Cribos in the future if the economy ever turns around, but I have also been considering some Black milks. They get quite large and do well in air conditioned rooms.

The female

The male
These belong to my friend. Last year he got a really good clutch but his incubator malfunctioned and killed the eggs! Argh! Anyway, he is in California within driving distance, and if he gets babies next year (they should be breeding now) I will be trying to figure out how to come up with the $$$!

Those are awesome! The real kicker is I have seen them in my yard many times, and Florida law doesn't allow me to keep them...ARRGH! That's why I am considering Cribos.

I have to admit I have heard of them before but don't know much about them. I thought they were rear fanged, lol? I do like the yellow tail Cribos though.

Very interesting John! Thanks for the link. I would bet they are considered venomous here in Florida, They recently put the Mad Hogs on the venomous list, if I'm not mistaken. This would require a hot liscence for me.

I don't even have to get the permit since both my friend and I are in California. The only thing stopping me is lack of $$$$! My partner would blow up if I spent 1600 bucks on a pair of snakes!

Yeah the whole Anery/Axanthic thing is very confusing. I have some ghosts and snows that I'm still not sure what's in them untill I start doing some breeding trials to known animals. But your right it looks more Axanthic to me too!
