Very nice snakes. I really love the White Wall Holbrooki, where can I get one of those?

Very nice animals John!

Yeah, I have always considered the "lavender" specks to be hypomelanistic. I just don't see how they can accurately be considered anything else. The fact that they are the color they are along with the ruby-red eyes also coincides with being greatly reduced melanin-wise as well. If they were a more purple-hued lilac/lavender coloration, I could roll with them being lavender t-plus much more. This is all relative of course, and can technically be looked at several different ways as you already know since ALL animals other than amels have tyrosinase anyway. And there are countless degrees of how much melanin the cells are able(allowed) to produce in different animals depending on how much tyrosinase these cells release in order to ultimately be synthesized into melanin too.

Anyway, I wasn't really trying to re-hash the debate on them, but was just basically commenting out loud on their particular "look" from seeing your nice closeup pics of these morphs.

Anyway, I have always thought they were pretty interesting, and that has always been my personal take on them.

again nice animals man!

Hands down beautiful Holbrookis! They look so clean! You make me feel like adding those to my collection as well! Jeez it never ends. That Black Gap is a real looker also! That's cool how his black is getting darker and darker. I must say his black is the same tone right now as my Christmas Mountain Alterna and he is an 09 as well! He continues to get darker and darker! Very nice! I took a recent picture of him as well so I will try to post him!

From the pair of Black Gaps you have, are both of them getting darker or is it just the Alterna you posted? Also, from the pair of the Black Gap Alterna is there a possibility that they will produce highly speckled babies in the future?

Thanks for sharing John! Always a pleasure to see pictures of your Kings!

Here is a pic of her:

I also have a nice 2010 pair from Shannon Brown that is het for hypomelanism and possible het for anery....

Beautiful Gaps John! I was on a phone with Shannon a few weeks ago and he was telling me about the Gaps that were Het for hypo and anery. That will definitely become an awesome project that's for sure! That female Gap is a nice one as well. I can't wait to see what that 2009 pair will produce! Probably by 2012 or 13, hopefully 12 because I can't wait and I'm pretty sure you can't either lol!

I think the Black Gap pair that is het for nothing will go in 2012....The others will take another year or so.....
I have a Howard Draw pair that will also take a couple more years as they are tiny 2010s......

Those are all real nice. Now you know, if you get tired of that alterna, where to send him...

I am so envious of snakes that they can shed their old skin and emerge with all shiny new pristine skin! Of course, being in blue would be annoying, but what a great excuse to not go to work or school for a few days.
