Not sure if I ever posted a pic of this fellow... I ended up having to go out and collect a pair of this taxon after years of searching for CB locality catenifer unsuccessfully. I managed to to get a nice pair of hatchlings off the road in an area where they are quite abundant. The first one I saw on the first evening out was a DOR striped phase hatchling, then I encountered about 35-40 normal blotched hatchlings on the road over two nights, and of course the last one I saw on the last night out was a living striped phase.... (about 40m down the road from the spot where I saw the original DOR!)

Please wild collect responsibly and as a last resort. Remember to follow all local laws regarding collection of wild herps. Our hobby and reputations count on it...

That little guy's a beauty. Always good to find what you're after. Good to know that those P.c. catenifers are quite abundant in the area where you found that one.

the food supply must be pretty abundant around there too. that little guy has quite the build on him. nice pic john....
