Leiren Dec 11, 2010 05:58 PM

I picked this guy up today from a petstore..i'd consider it a rescue consider it was in the smallest containers of critter keepers they make, and on soaking wet coco fiber.

I think hypo something. I've been told maybe its the hypo iowa county strain,a visual albino/amel het, super hypo, etc? I just don't know! Feel free to give it your best shot!

It looks like a standard/original line hypo to me. Very under rate morph. I think the are cool.

I agree with Jason, I think it is a hypo bull, and man, it is really nice! Good find!!

original line hypo? not so sure about that, it is totally lacking black... i would refer to it as a carmel before naming it a hypo. However....it is young and bound to change significantly as it matures.

All of the original line hypo's I have seen and produce none of them have had black on them. More of a lavender color instead of black.

Here is a few pics I scrounged up from my computer. I forgot how to post multi pics on 1 post. Keep in mind they can very in colors, which is normal when crossed into other bloodlines.

Sometimes the lavender color looks more brownish then purple-ish.

those hypos are cool, but still look different..I mean I know theres no two snakes alike,so maybe thats it. Plus its hard to tell from photo to actual snake in hand too,ha!

my snake is yellowish tint all over, dark pupils yellow eyes. No black, torwards the base tail is purple-ish red tint so. Solid yellow all over.

I mean I'm sure this is probably what it is but I have other pictures too.

also, this snake just shed and I didn't even realize it was in shed..so in those photos,I guess that was shed mode.

Yeah those are the ones I got from John Meltzer. They are 4 years old now. I haven't even tried to bred them yet. The one Scott R has is amazing.

the-vandyl Dec 12, 2010 10:41 PM

Leiren, I think you have a positive ID now, thanks Jason!
