impaction

CCappy175598 Sep 26, 2003 11:06 PM

what are some things you guys do with your dragons when they have been impacted. I have a juv 6 inch long leopard gecko and Im looking for some treatments before i take her to the vet. Ive been soaking it in warm water for periods of 15 mins. She is impacted with ReptiBlend which is the brand. A ground walut blend sopossedly harmless. Yeah so shes been eating just constipated and i can see the gravel in her belly. Im a little worried I may have caught it to late. I heard if you put a drop of oil on ther nose and have them lick it off it may help.. do you think i should try this

I wouldn't wait. Walnut shells are horrible for them. Get to the vet as soon as you can. Until then, try mineral oil like you said. Ya, put som eon their nose. Or soemtimes i dip the tip of a worm or somehting into it then I give it to them. But I dont think this will be enough, you'll most likely need the vet. They'll flush it out. Make sure to putt it onto paper towels too. I hope yur lizard will be alright.
