Yeah, it is very typical for people to get their morphs confused..LOL!. That looks to be a typical dark ghost phenotype. Females generally tend to be the significantly darker of the two sexes.

enjoy!... it looks to be nice and healthy

Charcoals have very little to no yellow as opposed to ghosts and anery's displaying substantial amounts of yellow on the chin/neck and first third of the ventro-lateral area(such as that one does). Charcoals also tend to have less contrast between their ground color and their saddle blotching as well.

That's not a Charcoal. Too much yellow on the neck. It does look kinda dark for a ghost but yet too light for an anery typically anyway. I have to agree with Doug.

While it does look like it could be a dark ghost, I'm not seeing anything that makes me say it couldn't be a charcoal either. Sure, charcoals TEND to have less yellow but that's no hard and fast rule. Check out this one from Rich Z for example (his picture, not mine):

Since the corn in question doesn't have much yellow and looks to me like it falls within the range of typical variation for either morph, I'd lean toward charcoal since that's what it was labeled as.

That was my gut feeling too, but after seeing Kevins post, it really is all just guessing. That's why it's important to buy from reputable breeders. But hey I have some questionable stuff too. Breeding trials will be the true test.

Wow if that's a charcoal then the original posters animal could really be any of the above, lol. I didn't realize there were cahrcoals with that much yellow on them. Thanks for the pic!
