Thought I'd share some updated pics of the two Dinker babies I kept back from this past season. The female has been a good eater right from the beginning. The male took a little longer to get going but is now eating good.

The first picture is their father, the second picture is the baby male, the third picture is the baby female. Still not sure exactly what they are but am looking forward to continuing to work on the project.

Het Red is one of the possibilities that has been suggested. I hatched a 2nd male which has gone in trade to my friend who works with Het Reds so he'll be able to explore that possibility when he gets to breeding age.

The mother was imported from Africa as a baby and hand picked out of over a hundred babies for her unique look.

The father of my dinker babies is actually a son of the imported female when she was bred to a Bell Pastel prior to my purchasing the pair.

Other suggestions for the mother have been Sable or Chocolate. Remote possibility she could be in the Cinny/Black Pastel family.

not cinny, nor black pastel, nor chocolate , really doesn't look sable to me....and the red axanthic>.???.it's not quite right for that either....

ive seen these babies in person. and i have the one baby male to try with my het red female in a couple years.

they definatly look like pastel het reds in person for sure but neither of the parents have the look of het reds. so im not sure. the little male i have doesnt quite have the look of the other dinker babies but he is a good looking pastel either way.

we will figure these guys out soon enough.

So glad little Igor is doing good. I've tried putting his mom with my Pewter male but no luck so far. She has locked up with Igor's dad twice though. So you just might end up with a nice female to go with Igor this Spring. I'll still keep trying with the Pewter male. She has a kind of Mojo pattern, although wrong color, so tossing her in with my Mojo is another possibility. We know what comes of putting her with Pastels. I'm eager to see what happens mixing her with different morphs. Here are two pics of your little guy taken the day I pulled him out of his bad egg. I was so worried about him. So glad he is now healthy and strong and in a great home!

Sorry, I didn't take pics of him in the egg. I panicked when I realized what was going on and didn't take the time to get the camera, just started right to work trying to get him free of the bad part of the egg. Didn't take pics until he was free and safe.

I would have to say that the middle pic looks like a pastel chocolate. I have 1.2 pastel chocolates and they look like they could be siblings to your snake. Very nice and keep us posted on any new developments in your project. Good luck with your dinkers!
