Has anyone breed a het to a visual and not got any visuals? Or a double het to a double visual and not got any visuals at all?

This question is really dependent on the number of eggs produced. The odds per egg of a visual to a het are 1 in 2 for a visual. If you produced five eggs your odds of getting NO visuals is exactly the same as your odds of getting ALL visuals, .5^5 (or 3.125%). Not particularly likely to happen, but certainly not impossible.

if it makes you feel better, I had a female go 3 seasons to a visual with clutches all exceeding 6 eggs. No visuals were produced. I got frustrated with the het I purchased, feeling she was not genetic. Questioning the integrity of the guy i bought it from, i decided to give her one more try before i confronted him. My 4th season she proved out.

Thanks for the responses. I had heard before that sometimes it takes a few years to get visuals. Just imagine all of us that have given up on possible hets that didn't prove out after the first breeding or two. I also had missed on 2 clutches of 5 eggs each of normals to a pastel.
