gecko baths?

x1angelbabyx Sep 27, 2003 02:51 AM

hi again

i came across a personal homepage that said they give their geckos baths in little tupperware containers... if we do that, do we need to add anything special in the water other than the substance to remove chlorine? thanks!

There's no real reason to do this unless the gecko is haven't trouble shedding. Then, only when they've got unshed skin on their feet/toes. You don't have to put anything in the water, and the water doesn't have to be that deep, just deep enough to cover the geckos toes. I usually put a folded up paper towel in there, too.

ohhh ok thanks i originally thought it was only for shedding but the person's page just has her gex taking a bath, so i thought otherwise seeing as they are probably more experienced than me Thanks for the clarification! It's much appreciated if i find that webpage, i'll post it up
