Merry Christmas and happy New Year
Woke up to snow this morning...First white Christmas, here, in many many years!
Pretty nice!
Of course, it did cause us to cancel our day at my brother's but it will make for a nice quiet day at home for my wife and I.

The middle pic is a bimaculata, correct? I love them with their "earthy" yet colorful appearance. The one you posted looks particularly nice, IMHO. Are they still being imported? If so what country or countries and/or regions are they coming from? Is the one you posted associated with any particular locality? Approxiamately what would a pair of cb babies sell for nowdays, just generally speaking?

Thanks. I don't know if they are being currently imported or not Aaron. The line mine are from have been in the country for years and I don't know their locality. Mine didn't produce this year for the first year in a long time. If I had babies I would be selling pairs for about $90 a pair.

Thanks for the info. That seems like a great price, they kinda remind me of American Indian art.

Randy, those flavs are very nice. Are they a good species to work with in general?

RandyWhittington Dec 26, 2010 12:34 AM

Thanks Kevin. They are a hardy species in general. I get a couple out of 2 or 3 clutches each year that are slow starters feeding wise. Most feed good right out of the egg but even the slow starters end up feeding well. All my adults (2.3) are aggressive feeders. I generally get eggs from 2 or 3 of the females each year and had a second clutch from one last year without reintroducing the male with her again. I get clutches in the 5 to 10 range. The eggs are big.

Sweet pics Randy. I would have to agree that looking into a hatching tub and seeing those little sweeties pipping is like Christmas at any time of year.

Merry Christmas or bah humbug whichever you prefer. Thanks for the pics.

RandyWhittington Dec 28, 2010 11:37 AM

Thanks! No I didn't mean to insinuate the all hatched during the holidays but that reflecting back on the shots (pictures) perk me up on the holidays or anytime.
