one to one pairing

I have a couple males that I want to breed exclusively with one selected female each.
Is it better to just leave the females with them through the winter, or take them out every 3-5 days to give the males a break.
thanks for any replies,
TomChambers

It would probably be best for you to house them separately, and put them together for breeding.

Good luck,

Yea, thats what I was probably going to do, but I was reading in a python breeding book, that when you breed one male to just one female you can leave them together for the entire breeding season.
One of the males didn't get the job done last year. It was his first breeding season, and he was a bit small(700g. I just got another(young) male, so I want to give them the best chance at producing this year.
Thanks for the reply,

It can be done with them together. (Trust me I know. Wheather you want them to or not.)
However, I think that, just like people, they tend to get used to each other being around all the time. They are more likely to copulate if they are apart from each other for a while.

Good luck,
