My Het Hypo Male BRB still needs a name

MoonlightBoas Jan 04, 2011 07:05 PM

I still can't come up with a fitting name for this Het Hypomelanistic Brazilian Rainbow Boa. He has most intense bright orange color I've ever seen. These pictures don't compare to what he looks like in person. Anyway, I've had the toughest time coming up with a name for this little guy. I usually like to run with a mythological theme or obscure names from literature. If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know. Thanks

Spartacus!

Sorry, that was the first thing that popped into my head. He could totally carry that though. Awesome looking BRB, I'm jealous!

Spartacus seems like an excellent choice. It might be good to stick with the mythology and/or literature theme names. I like themes in naming snakes. When I bred Cornsnakes I used an astronomy theme in picking their names. When I bred Jungle Carpet Pythons I named them for geographical names in eastern Australia. Most of my first BRBs were named for tributaries of the Amazon River. Several of my Peruvian Rainbows are named with an Amy Winehouse theme.

Thank you Cynthia! What a fantastic name. I really like Spartacus. A few other names I'm considering are Orion, Odysseus, Uther, and Arthur, but Spartacus is in the lead right now. I'd like to finalize his name by this weekend so I can upload his pictures on my website. If anyone else has some good ideas, I'd love to hear them.
