Question for Brent, Greg!

BuzzardBall Jan 05, 2011 12:21 PM

I produced a clutch of HetAlbino X HetAlbino eggs! There were 8 eggs! True to form, there were 2 albinos and 6, 66%'s! The hets were healthy, however the albinos had their issues! One was kinked up and probably won't make it! The remaining one is the one I have the question about! It has eaten several times and seems to be growing, but the tip of ot's tail is curled up like a young fern leaf! It will straighten when it's in motion, but will recoil when it stops! Any ideas?

Most of the time incubation temps are to blame for deformities ,but it sounds strang that it's only the albinos, but still very possible.

That was my original thought, but like I said, all the poss hets are fine!

Could be incubation. Did you have any spikes (high or low)? Albinos may be a little weaker and could be effected differently. If you did have any spikes that could be why the albinos were effected and not the normals.
