They arrived today

bigtman Jan 05, 2011 06:35 PM

They came in alive and well. As I was putting each one in their new home, I took a moment to look at each one. They are just amazing animals. Some of them pooped on me (just to say hello.)
Their colors just blow me away. No one tried to bite me this time, but then again they just got done having one hell of a ride. I'm sure that once they have relaxed for a few days they will be ready too. I am so glad that I got into Kingsnakes.
Sorry for going on so long. but I am really excited about this new move I made into Kingsnakes. At the bottom of the page is what I received today.

Congrats! But why do you expect them to bite? Very few of my kingsnakes bite. I think they have gotten a bad reputation. Enjoy and give us some pics if, and when you can.

The OP probably thought that the long ride would make them cranky and nippy. That's what happened to me when i first got my brooksi and okeetee delivered. Both rattled their tail and bit me.

Both of them have calmed down since. No more tail rattling and biting. The brooksi is quite mellow. The okeetee is a bit flighty, but he's getting better every time i handle him.

One of MY favorite visitors...Mr. FedEx, pulling up into the driveway. And then there are the times I look out, and it's Not FedEX, but rather my mother in-law. Completely different feeling all together. JK...well kind of.

When he pulled up he was walking with the package under his arm sideways. I just looked at him signed for the package. As far as mother in-law's, she was a lot louder then the FedEx truck. LOL

LOL! One time we were awaiting Fedex deliveries of snakes and computers and heard what we thought was the Fedex, but NO, it was the local sheriff's deputy lost on our rural unmarked road trying to find a neighbor. Rather disconcerting at first sight to say the least!

Yeah I suppose so. That must explain why 75% of the time I show up at someone's doorstep, they either don't answer, or legbail out the back door and jump the fence. I see nothing but A Holes and Elbows. haha!

pyromaniac Jan 06, 2011 09:43 PM

I try to see things from the view point of the deputy; walking into potentially hazardous situations is stressful to say the least. I have no mother-in-laws to worry about showing up. If that was a possibility maybe I'd legbail out the back door, too!

LOL! Yeah no kidding....I usually fall into that 50% who just doesn't answer the door when she shows up. One of these days, if my wife ever gives her a house key - God forbid, it'll be MY A hole and elbows SHE sees, as I legbail out the back.

JK of course, she's a lovely woman..............hahahhahahahha!!!

Hey, how 'bout these new classified sections! Pretty cool.

pyromaniac Jan 06, 2011 10:43 PM

Well, if unwanted relatives could bring me snakes when they show up, that would be better. I'd even settle for toads and lizards, just don't bring children!

After looking at the new classifieds, I was tempted to order something just to have the joy of seeing the delivery guy with the little box at my gate...I saw something I really liked but she would not fit into my long range pyro program...

By the way, I am awaiting pics of bigtman's new babies! The best part of getting deliveries is opening the box and photographing all the new acquisitions!
