how to disinfect a branch...

whats the best way to disinfect a branch that was previously used in another beardie enclosure?

I need to know so I can put it in my lil guys enclosure...

You can soak it in bleach but when you are done, I would use a "dechlorinator" used for fish tanks. You can get it at any pet shop. Don't go buying the fancy expensive kind with slime coat or anything, just basic, cheap dechlorinator.

Just resoak with the dechlorinator until you can't smell any bleach on it.

You can also bake the branch in the oven for about 2 hours at 250F. Or, after bleaching, soak it in plain water, then let it air dry outside for a few days, to ensure all the chlorine evaporates. When done, use a varnish to seal the wood. This will make it alot easier to clean the branch later on. Just make sure you let the varinish dry completely (another day or two) before putting it in with your beardie.
