Keep those pictures coming. Remember even on the macro setting you can get a clear shot from up above up to like almost 2 feet i think.

Blazin's got a great point. Try maxing out your resolution, getting a little back from the gecko and then cropping the picture down. That should let a little more light in, especially if you use flash, but still give you the clarity when you crop it down. I take many pictures like this.

Thanks for the comments and advice guys... hopefully I will figure this damned thing out soon enough.

Another thing I have learned is that geckos are super hard to get a nice macro on... they just don't like to sit still!
