A few questions about hogs

ed1 Jan 10, 2011 11:22 AM

I am trying to learn about the awesome little hog noses . I had a few questions. 1) Are the westerns the ones easier to switch to rodents. 2) Are their any co dom morphs in western hogs? 3) How big do they get? 4) What is the average clutch and baby size after hatching? Any responses would be awesome.

Thanks on advance.

Yes

2) Are their any co dom morphs in western hogs?

Well technically there are not codom morphs in herps (they are incomplete dominant), but yes, the 'anaconda' morph is a 'codom' morph.

3) How big do they get?

Males ~15-20" give or take, female 24-32"

4) What is the average clutch and baby size after hatching?

Not sure of the "average clutch size", but offspring are pretty small (4-6in)

Cheers,
Chris

I would consider the anaconda more of a visual het for the patternless superconda.
