My new Hondo

This is Patron (tequila). I've had him now for 6 days. I tried to feed him saturday but he did not eat. I'm not to worried I will wait a few days and try again.

Nice anery there Tom!

If you are feeding F/T, in a few more days try tearing the snout off of a peach fuzzy and offer it to the snake in a deli cup all by itself in a totally dark closet for a good while. I have found that this usually works like clock-work!!

Thanks Doug. When I fed the first time I just left it in over night. All the brooks ate. Just the hondo's didn't eat.

Very cool!....

Yeah, I have had many young snakes over the years that would just casually check their F/T meals out, but were very hesitant to go ahead and grab the prey and eat it. Then when I take it back and tear the snout, they grab it immediately!. The fresh wet tissue scent is irresistible to them most of the time. It also triggers most that won't eat anything at all and will just let the pinkie sit there in the deli cup.
