cutting edge nelsoni morphs

shannon brown Jan 11, 2011 11:29 PM

In the next couple years we should see all kinds of new multi morphs of the nelsoni/siniloan complex. With the color and pattern mutations now established we should see some incredible animals produced.
Probably not this year but for 2012 we should see some t plus animals that are het for splotched and some that are het for hypo-e (pumpkin) and because the t plus is co-dom ( at least on the amel allele)I should be able to produce a patternless t plus that is het for splotched and or pumpkin.
Since the Seib line of v.p. or patternless is a true co-dom we will also see pumpkins that are paternless or almost anyway.

Here are a couple animals in the works.Still not sure the exact combos I am going to do but I have all the ingredients to produce a triple or even a quad homo in just a few short years due to the co-dom (skip a generation )affect.
Enjoy......

the stud and main ingredient to all these morphs.

this is a albino hypo-e (or albino pumkin). These animals took many years to produce because of the two simple recessive genes at work. Thanks again Don.Just love these guys.

patternless t plus I produced in (09).

albino splotched, this is another pretty new double homo on the scene.

here is a spotted t-plus I also produced in (09) by throwing my breeder t plus on my own line of co-dom aberrant.I am sure the t plus splotched won't look much different but it should still have the pied head and pied tail and thats what I can't wait to see.

I even have some hypo nelsoni but I am not sure it would change the look of the t plus because it would probably just be masked.
I do think that the t plus pumkin will look very different because the hypo-e doesn't really get masked by the amel as a hypo would.Only time will tel but it will be fun.

I can hardley wait to just see a splotched pumpkin.and then to build a albino splotched pumkin.sky is the limit in the future.

I am lucky enough to have received several T-Pos snakes from you Shannon, and will also be breeding into my huge stock of Hypo-E and Aberrant/Splotched lines. Also will be cool to see if the normal and Amel siblings turn out to be Het for the T-Pos, as I have several of those from you!

and absolutely fantastic looking animals! It goes without saying that I spent the better half of nearly 12 years devoting my time and focus in helping create and establish some of the finest nelsoni/sinaloae around. I take great pride in this.

And as you and others know, I recently let go of my entire group of these color/pattern mutations to pursue other interests. So, in this, it makes me proud to see friends like yourself, Don Shores, Scott MacLeod and a few others help continue to develop and preserve what I worked so hard towards accomplishing. The future is certainly exciting and again, many thanks for the ongoing compasion for these spectacular animals.

Although I am thoroughly enjoying my solid collection of locality graybands, pyros and select wild-type triangulum, I would be completely lying if I said I didn't sometimes miss the collection of odd-balls I once had.
Happy New Year!!
