Thanks Dell!,....I am liking these guys too man. Note the long slender pointed heads on these too that are indicative of blanchardi.

Good looking milks Doug, are there a lot of these in the U.S. or not really?

The answer is a DEFINITE..."not really" on that for sure Mike..LOL!
Totally unavailable anywhere in the U.S. except for a few Shannon Brown has. The original male was a 100% pure blanchardi patternless individual captured just outside of Quintana Roo, Mexico on a small chicken ranch, and the original mother was acquired from the Moscow zoo.
These are about as easy to find anywhere else as dixoni, smithi, or pure micropholis. they just aren't available whatsoever..period!

Those are very cool. I really dig the male with the reduced pattern.
Allen Sheehan
Thanks Allen!. .....Yes, me too. He actually keys-out a bit better meristic-wise than the female does, but both are still very nice indeed.
thanks bud!

Doug,
Those are a couple steps beyond sweet.
Did you get them from Shannon?
Also, do those usually start off on pinkies?
I dig the orange they have!
Tim
Thanks Tim!.....yes, they are from Shannon. Yeah, the orange, the incomplete temporal band and the pointier snouts are pretty cool for sure man.

I just now saw that I over-looked one of your questions by mistake ..LOL!
Well, mine sure did, but Shannon could best answer how these particular clutches took to them out of the egg. I would assume they really go for tiny lizards and such in their native habitat just like many others also do. Mine grabbed their pinks with vigor with zero hesitation. This definitely made the "Mongster" VERY happy too..LOL!
They seem to be a good bit smaller than say Hondos and other Latin milks as hatchlings however, so big pinks and peach fuzzies are out of the question with these guys until they get a bit older. Adults are said to get around maybe 36 to 42 inches. But it's not like there are lots of examples around to compare to. Heck, I've only ever seen a few photos of them in very limited literature over the years, some pure forms, and a few intergrades with neighboring subspecies . They are just that rare and uncommon.

Oh Man, out of the 15 or so that I have produced over the last 6 years every single one tooks pinks first time I tried.I was very surprised at that as I figured they would be kinda hard to get started like a pyro or alterna but thats not the case at all.
L8r Shannon

Yeah, that is great to hear they took to them right from the start bud! I feel confident mine will too when I produce a few.
That spotted dude there is super-looking bro!. Nice thick inner orange spots. I just love their pointed head characteristics.

Yes, and outside of this particular line, a few select books and literature will be the ONLY place they will be seen unfortunately..LOL!

A sweet looking pair, enjoy them.
Gerry
Thanks Gerry!,...yes, those long pointed black heads are very distinctive and neat looking I must say.
I certainly will enjoy them!

I can't get over their little pointy heads..LOL!. When I fed them today the black pointed heads are as noticeable as a sore thumb..LOL!....WAAAY different than other Latin complex milks.

Those are pretty sweet Doug. Love how rich the red is and the slight black tipping just seems to make it seem even richer.
They do have pointy little heads, I imagine they must love to burrow.

Thanks Big T!,....yes, the black tipping on the red rings is a definite key trait of this race of milksnake, and yes, they are quite fossorial and love to burrow as you mentioned.
