desert female eggs and ultramel kink?

allmorphedup Jan 17, 2011 07:11 PM

Has anyone hatched any eggs from a desert female yet?
It's seems to me that it has not happened yet,and maybe it never will.
Is it true that ultramels don't kink, or is this being hush hush to keep the price up.Please anyone with accurate info let us know.

Why do you think there are no clutches from desert females? Stan Chiras has had the project for many years now and pro exotics has had them for how long now? at least four or five years? Robyn? What is it you are not saying? Why would a female not produce?

The thread that the Sloan's linked does cover some good detail.

We have a Desert customer that hatched out eggs from two Desert females last year. He didn't breed Des x Des, so still no look at a possible super.

We only had a couple of Desert females go last year, and we got slugs.

We have a number of females nearing 2000 grams, and I expect those two breed successfully this season : )

Robyn,

You say "We have a Desert customer that hatched out eggs from two Desert females last year".

Any pics of mom on eggs? Any details about the clutch? Viable offspring? Number of eggs laid vs. hatch?

Thanks for the update and best of luck with your project!!
