Thinking about an Ackie...

JethrozMom Sep 27, 2003 04:07 PM

....But im a Bearded Dragon and Chameleon keeper. I have no idea how to even go about this, and im just starting to do some research now. I've never even considered having a monitor before, but several people have suggested ackies to me for my next reptile to attempt to keep. I know they need a lot of space compared to their body size, and i THINK ive figured out how to do that, but can someone tell me where to get started? Ive read the caresheets at proexotics.com and ive been looking at other stuff....

I'm sorry if i sound like a TOTAL newbie, but if i do this, i want to do it right the first time, cuz i know these critters are NOT cheap (at least not down here in dallas, anyway.)

Hopefully one of you will take pity on me and give me some links at least...

Thanks guys..
Jamie

Mine is named... Sparkster.
And we almost have something else in common. I bought an Italian greyhound because I don't have room for a full sized one. I'll probably get a big one soon, my dog met some retired racers and they got along quite well.
