Would it be too much to ask...

mbrawley Jan 23, 2011 04:20 AM

KS, Would it be too much to ask that while you're at it, you add more than one subsection of "Hybrids", to a few of the main categories, specifically Colubrids, Pythons, and Boas, etc? I think this might solve the recent issue that has arisen. This way, you may actually make 98% of your subscribers happy, rather than 95%. Just my opinion.

BTW - I'm happy...when I'm not at work.

Thanks for the consideration,

Micah Brawley

Placing the python, boa, king, milk, corn hybrids all under one Hybrid heading is sort of like the old insane asylum protocol of dumping the retarded, criminally insane, schizophrenic, etc all in the same ward! LOL!

I personally mainly just use the KS search function as I am looking for specific species. But with the KS search function, if someone does not say pyromelana in the ad, just Sonoran for example, I am likely to miss the ad, a thing that almost made me miss my generic Sonoran Mountain king baby last September. In order to browse the old list of everything from milks to kings I had resorted to using my search "find" on my browser. I had typed in ora, (looking for orange thayeri), and got the ad, very nice find. So the KS search function is not infallible. Also, with the old system, I did see many fine animals that I actually might have bought had I had the room and money even though my main thing is pyromelana. This was a good thing for the sellers, as their ads were viewed by a larger audience than if they are pigeon holed into separate categories. I do like having the milk snakes and the king snakes in separate categories.

My almost missed baby; also got two more from the breeder and made a great connection, by using the browser find text highlighter!

Now, with the new update to the ad system, I am assuming a moderator will make sure all the sheep are in one pen, the goats in another, and the deer are not jumping the fence! I guess my point here is you can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time.
