Nice to meet you!

I had a sav for my first monitor, that turned out to be a bad decision on my part. Hopefully you're having better luck than I did. I'd be careful, as anybody who has kept monitors before, they have a disease that is transmitted to their human keepers. It causes a severe need to keep more and more monitors and spend all your extra time reading on anything monitors. I had a bad experience with my first monitor, but still caught the sickness.

With all the best wishes,
Jason

They usually mellow out as they get older. Most baby monitors are shy. For good reason alot of things want to eat them. Savs are outgoing when it comes to food so its not that hard to get them to tolerate you if you feed them with tongs. Thats my experience.

Just like he stated, they usually mellow out with age. What I would suggest is to build a trust with the monitor while small, with tong feeding and positive interactions. It seems like your having good progress, so keep it up. Just remember that it doesn't happen overnight, time is needed. They're solitary by nature, and prey as juvies. Being prey, they are naturally untrusting, and being solitary, they don't seek out interaction with other animals or you like a dog would.
