Regarding your answer to the post below about the classified categories:
I'm in the advertising business--and have been for years--and I believe you're making a huge mistake. Not necessarily by the decision to change the categories, but by your decision to disregard what your customers AND users have to say. As a business owner you should realize that this is not about you, it's about why people visit and why people spend money on KS. You can't make every customer happy and you can't make your happy customers happy all the time. What you CAN do is listen to every customer.
Zenny has been advertising and posting for quite some time, and you should value his thoughts! You have a chance here to show everyone on this forum that you have the best interests of the site, as well as your loyal customers, in mind.
Do you not understand that we're all here because we love Kingsnake.com? We're here because it serves OUR wants and needs. Why else would we be here and not spending time and money on all the other sites that WANT to be KS? If you disregard your customers, they will go away. You may think that Zenny's "14 cents a day" doesn't mean much, but what if 100 other advertisers share his sentiment and also choose to leave. Can you refund all of their payments?
What about people like me? As a small-time breeder who will finally have enough inventory to justify advertising--starting this year--you just told me that you don't really want my business.
The decision to place goini/brooksi crosses in the hybrid/integrade section is really irrelevant. It doesn't matter if you're right or wrong, Jeff. You had an opportunity to show everyone on this forum that you were listening and were concerned. You started off with a valid argument, but you descended into a rant. You chose to tell ALL of us, including the people that agree with you, that you really don't care. From a business standpoint, that's playing Russian roulette.
I'm not here to bash you, Jeff; I've got much better things to do. I'm here because I love Kingsnake.com and I'm concerned about it's future.
