What happens when you add another gene..

kangaskritters Jan 25, 2011 11:54 PM

I'm curious as to what happens when you add another gene to a Blue Eyed Leusistic. For example a BEL to a pastel, pinstripe, ghost/hypo. Thank you in advance!

I am pretty sure on this...
Depending what the bel is made out of let's say
lesser x lesser = your bel
bel x ghost = lesser het for ghost babies but all lessers at least since the bel is the super form
bel x pastel = pastel lessers, lessers,

I probably should've given more specific information to start with. So let's say the two breeding snakes in question are a hypo mojave and a hypo butter. How would the hypo gene express itself on a white snake? Would you see the irredesence over the white? Worth while project or waste of time?

I produced both super lesser orange ghosts this season as well as super mojave super pastels. In the super lesser orange ghost case, no change at all. As for the super mojo super pastel, the head is far lighten, almost a light silver. Other than that, no difference.
It's what's inside these snakes that's important.
Not their looks.

Lol, I was looking at the ball classifieds and noticed that you have higher calibre balls for sale so I thought this person has to be talking about something else after I had posted!! I am so new that I am still trying to figure out who is who in the ball world. : ) Hope it gave you a smile. Enjoy your day, Paige
