Locality question

AnnaCB Jan 30, 2011 01:48 PM

So I have a lovely boa (along with the one I've been fretting over, see earlier post) whose colors are much different from that of the usual 'pet shop BCI' I'm used to seeing.

I've attached some photos- is he simply a very yellow version of the type normally seen in pet stores, or is his locality perhaps different?

I have a really bad camera- but he GLOWS yellow in person- it's really impressive.

Here are a few pictures of him:

And for comparison purposes, here's what I consider to be a 'normal looking' BCI, which, if I think about it, I have no idea where she comes from either- someplace in Mexico?

Any input on where either of these guys might be hailing from would be much appreciated!

No need to Fret brotha both of those COMMON BOA'S are lovely and special! Did you know the common boa (B.C.I.) comes in a variety of colors and pattens! Legend has it that when a female boa becomes Prego when embryo's start to develop the temps can actually change pattern and colors of the baby's! Old man witherspoon told me that and Mr. magillacutty @BoasRus.com. Great pics BTW and NP.

Jake
Ps. To who this may concern I very intoxicated right now! LOL 8)
