I'm planning on getting a beardie in the the next few days from a local breeder. She is selling them for $40 a piece. I've seen cheaper, but I'm not going to wait until the all Ohio reptile show next month. What other herps or animals do you guys/girls own? Right now I have nothing, because it's been pretty busy the last few years. My last reptiles were some Cresties, but I got a bad shipment of crix and they all got sick and died. I was going to buy some yellow ackies last christmas, but they were sold out everywhere.

Just to let everyone know I;m not new to reps. I've had them since I was 5, and I'm almost 18 now. I once got flamed just for saying I was going to get something on another forum site. They thought I was a noob. Told me to start off with a leopard gecko and blah blah. Anyways I have read a lot about beardies over the years, but for some reason I just now decided to get some.BTW I really enjoy all the pics. They look like lot's of fun!

It sucks living in a stupid middle of nowhere town in Canada!! No one here sells dragons for less than $150!! (and thats for normals! any of the fancy ones start at $250!) I can't believe that! $40.... *grumble*

hehe I live in Alberta and I got my citrus yellow/sandfire beardie for $100. But my friend worked at the petstore so he got me a good deal =)

$40 really isn't that bad. What kind of beardie is it? Normal? Well welcome to the world of Beardies. Ugh, i hate that when they think your a newb and telly ou to start small and stuff, we wont do that here, lol. When I started reptiles a while back, I actually started with bearded dragons and a chameleon.

The all Ohio reptile shows are usaully on the last saturday of the month. Check on the show listings at the front page. They are soooooo awesome! I never want to leave. If you like leopard geckos or cresties go to Robbie Hamper's Gecko ranch. She has some very nice animals. Yeah I live in Wayne county. Not sure how far or close we are but it's good to finally hear from someone in ohio. BTW tommorow is a Bird, reptile and small animal expo in medina at the fair grounds. I'm going tommorow, btu this is the first time I'll be going.

I got my babies for $20 each. I also work at a pet store and we get bearded dragons for $42 wholesale.
