i purchased a bulb today that says "the light i got is a repti basking spot light ...says it increases the overall ambient air temp and provides beneficial uva rays...."

am i still going to need two different lights? or is there something else i need to have on during the day with this bulb? i have uth for heat at night...so the tank stays above 70 degrees at night...

thanks

Yes, you need a UVB bulb like reptisun 5.0 or iguana light 5.0 by Zoomed...without Uvb rays, they will develop Metabolic bone Disease and it causes many problems like mishapen jaw, curved spine and eventually death...Please get the proper bulbs soon...the ones I mentioned are flourescent tubes...good luck Lyn
