Just love my black pines
Wow, those are really black! They almost look like Eastern Indigos! Post some more pics, please!

This is a picture of my cousin holding my 07 female. The other is my 07 pair. The female is almost completley black. The male is pretty close but has some pattern here and there. But all together I think they are awesome!
They are a couple of the nicest specimens of the species I have ever seen!

Thanks a lot!!!! I cant wait to see how dark their hatchlings are coming this summer. But even if they look as dirty northerns I will be thrilled. Not much is better than seeing snakes of any kind hatching.

Good luck with your hatching! I am planning to try my hand at breeding my pyros this spring. It would be awesome to get some babies of my own! Also, I might be getting an Eastern Indigo hatchling from a friend with the stipulation it will eventually be part of his indigo breeding program. So one way or another I will get a big black snake. But those black pines may also be an alternative choice for a big beefy black snake.

OOOH PYROS! i have never kept any of them! They are on the list thoughg. All I keep now are black pines bulls and my trashcan pig of a Florida King. Getting back into things right now. I dont have much but what I got is what I want. Looking for more pines of all kinds. I obsessed! Bulls too! Just got 4 bulls from Jason Nelson and theyre a handful. Everyone of them pissy like a bull should be! Good luck with the PYROS. Let me know! Id love to buy some 11 babies
Jason has some nice animals. I got a pair of 09 striped Pacifics from him:

the female (the red one) and an unrelated male from another person (alas, I lost her brother, but have this great pair for future breeding)
My 09 Kingsville x Stillwater bulls this morning:

He is in blue. These guys are so gentle; yesterday I had some left over pinks from a pyro who was not hungry, so I opened the container the bulls were in and hand fed the female. They like breakfast in bed! LOL! They came from Rich Hardy and were only $35 each! I could not believe what a bargain I got!

My 08 pyro trio in brumation. Now I have separated the girls to fatten them up prior to mating. If I get babies I will let you know. This is all new territory for me (only other reptile breeding experience is with fence lizards).
