OHIO,THE FOUNDING FATHERS of Herpetolog

emysbreeder Feb 06, 2011 01:17 PM

I attended a talk at the All Fl.Herp Conf. in the late 80's early 90's that featured a talk by the late James Murphy of the Dallas Zoo. It was on the History of Herpetology in the USA and at one point there was a picture of a group of people at a N.O.A.H meeting, all of which later became notable in this field later in time. If anyone knows about this writing/slide show I think it should be up dated and presented to your new Gov. I remember "back in the day"*TC,the N.O.A.H news letter was the gold standard for Herp. information. That is how I learned about what was going with herps.,nation wide, attracted me to the SSAR Sym. and in turn inspired me to follow herpetology and forever changed my life, and gave it great meaning. The "Founding Fathers of Herpetology came from, the great State of OHIO. Vic Morgan

That sounds honorable to us, but I am past the point of believing The Borg can be moved by any of this. Resistance is Futile. We will be assimilated.

The pre Super Bowl reading of the Declaration of Independence with the "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" talk was very inspiring. Are you saying it's Bull?

I have never watched a sports event of any kind IN MY 60 YEARS OF LIFE.
I have no interest whatsoever, in AmericKKKan Junk Culture.
Droids who are fans of such drivel are whats wrong with the world.
When I watch TV, its public TV. Same for Public Radio.
Amy Goodman is my Goddess.
So I did not watch the superbowl or the reading of whatever, and therefore I cant share your moment of "inspiration".

What, no NASCAR? It think it best we represent ourselves as reasonable, average, middle of the road types. After all, isn't that unrealistic/unreasonable lunatic fringe mentality what we oppose?
