I posted in this forum a little over a month ago saying that I was having trouble getting my male corn snake to eat. It is a little over 3 feet long and i've only had it about two months. A week after I brought it home, I dropped a full-sized frozen mouse in its cage, but like an idiot I didn't let it thaw long enough first. The snake went right over to it and tried to eat it, but regurgitated it once it was halfway down. I went back to the store where I bought it, and asked them what they were feeding it. They said they were feeding it hoppers once a week. so I bought a couple and went back home. I put one (completely thawed) in the cage and the snake ate it with no problems. It wouldn't eat the next week because it was shedding(that was when I first posted), but it ate fine three more times after that. Now, it's been two weeks since it last ate and will not take a mouse of any size. I've tried hoppers, small adults and even full-grown mice. I've tried putting it in a seperate aquarium with newspaper substrate during feeding time, and it smells the mouse and circles all aroung it as if finding a good place to bite, but will not even try. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me? How long can a corn snake go without eating?
